Idaho 4th of July Parade from Boise - 2024 Theme: United We Stand

Come gather in Idaho's Capital City to celebrate our Nation's birth. The downtown Boise parade travels on Jefferson and Bannock streets in front of the State Capitol. Our community comes together to celebrate our freedoms and the blessing it is to be an American.

Join the festivities as a parade participant or spectator. Judged parade entries will compete for prize money to support Idaho non-profits. Area musicians can join the Armada Honor Marching Band & Color Guard to add to the patriotic celebration. Businesses, organizations, and families are all welcome to come together and show that United We Stand for a strong community, city and nation.

2024 Parade Grand Marshals

The Idaho 4th of July Parade is proud to announce the 2024 Grand Marshals. After carefully reviewing entries, the planning committee selected the 116th Brigade Combat Operation Iraqi Freedom III as the parade's 2024 Grand Marshals. The 116 BCT OIF III was Idaho's largest National Guard deployment. The 2024 Parade honors the men, women, and their families for their sacrifice as we remember and celebrate their 20th deployment anniversary. Come see, stand united, and cheer them on for their dedication to Idaho and the United States of America.

Parade Participation

Businesses, organizations, and families are invited to enter and participate in the parade. Entries can choose to be judged and compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. Winning entries will receive $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 for their charities of choice.

Idaho 4th of July Honor Marching Band and Color Guard

Musicians in high school and college/university are invited to join the Idaho 4th of July Honor Marching Band and Color Guard presented by Armada and sponsored by Dunkley Music. Opens in new tab. Band Director Phil Hartman will help meld together student musicians through a few rehearsals before the parade. The band will be a spectacular site marching in harmony through downtown Boise. Call for Volunteers

Many hands make light work. Your hands can help by volunteering prior, during and after the parade. Volunteers can fill many roles to ensure the patriotic celebration is memorable and safe.
